About this rug

Soft plum is the accent colour here, picked out in the small flowers scattered over the ivory field and again in the mushroom-grey border. The ivory forms a large lobed oval with a round grey rosette at its centre, ringed in pale blue-grey, and slim pendants of palmettes point to each end. Mushroom-grey corners fill the space outside the oval, and the border carries ivory and plum flowers between ivory guard stripes. Made in Iran from natural wool and cotton, this hand-knotted piece sits among our floral Kashan rugs.
