About this rug

A large round medallion opens like a sunburst at the heart of this Mashad, with rings of cream and gold-tan petals around a small rosette. It sits on a clear mid-blue field crossed by scrolling vines that carry palmettes and blossoms in cream, tan and rust, and cream quarter-medallions echo it in each corner. The blue main border repeats the palmettes, held in by a narrow dark brown outer stripe.
