About this rug

Two files of twelve ivory guls, each quartered with soft lemon-yellow segments, run down the taupe-brown field of this Bokhara runner. Dark cross-shaped figures fill the gaps between them. Around the field, a cream stripe dotted with small charcoal stars sits inside narrower brown bands, and a short panel of tiny diamonds closes each end above a white fringe.

Hand-knotted in Pakistan from natural wool, it is 63 cm wide, so it suits a passage of roughly 83 to 103 cm, and at 1.84 m long it can also follow one side of a bed. Its taupe-brown ground is a quieter alternative to the reds among our Bokhara rugs.
