About this rug

Nothing interrupts the surface of this jute rug: there is no pattern, border or fringe, only a fine, flat weave in natural white with a pale silver-grey cast. Faint grey streaks run across the width where the fibre varies in tone, which gives the plain field some quiet movement. Made by hand in India, it can be laid either side up.
