About this rug

Look at the border first: on a ground of sky blue and camel, teardrop cartouches alternate around the rug, rust red with ivory urns and navy with flowers. Inside, the navy field is thick with flowering vines in rust, pink and ivory. The medallion is built in layers: a scalloped rust ring with a feathery camel edge, camel scrolls, a powder-blue lozenge and an ivory diamond around a small rosette. Camel corners carry ivory cartouches.
