About this rug

Cornflower blue and deep navy share this Sarough. A diamond-shaped medallion in mid-blue, with a rust-red heart, sits in a navy field packed with gold, coral and ivory blossoms on fine curling stems. The corners turn back to cornflower blue, with small cream corner pieces, and the main border repeats the blue with coral palmettes between ivory and rust guard bands.

Its wool pile, hand-knotted in Iran, sits around 13 mm deep. Being 395 × 300 cm, it is a main-room rug: allow roughly 4.6 × 3.6 m of floor, or let it hold a full lounge suite with every front leg on the pile. It belongs with our handmade Persian rugs.
